Grosvenor Cottage is a comfortable holiday home and really is home from home with everything you need to enjoy a wonderful holiday in this beautiful area of the UK.

Downstairs Space

Kitchen, Living Room, Bathroom and good sized Hallway.

  • The kitchen is well stocked and includes washing up liquid and cloths, cupboard non perishable basics like tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, condiments, tin foil, cling film and kitchen roll. There is a radio, kettle, microwave, electric oven and toaster.  There is a table seating 4
  • The bathroom has a shower over the bath.  Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and enough loo rolls for your visit are provided.
  • The Living room has a smart TV with freeview and Netflix.  Books, games and record player.  There is a gas stove replicating a wood burner, to compliment the central heating.  There are 2 comfortable sofas and an armchair for your comfort.
  • The hall has a crate for dogs should you need one.

Upstairs Space

2 bedrooms, one with an ensuite toilet and sink. 

  • One king size bed in one room and two singles in the other. All bedding is provided and beds are made up.  All beds have memory foam toppers for added comfort.

Outdoor Space

  • Enclosed garden with pond (please supervise small children), garden furniture, parasol and BBQ area.
  • The garden has a high fence or hedge the whole way around. The hedge has mesh inbetween. There are two gates, one 6 foot and one is 3 foot high and can be extended for doggy jumper!

Comfort and Safety

Grosvenor Cottage is central heated with radiators in every room and a gas fire stove in the living room. You have full control of heating to ensure your comfort.  It has an instant hot water boiler. There are smoke alarms in all rooms except the bathroom and 2 carbon monoxide alarms.  Baby gates are at the top and bottom of the stairs. There is a fire extinguisher at the top of the stairs and in the kitchen is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket. Free WiFi.  We have a Fire Risk Assesment and comply with legislation.

Dogs Very, Very Welcome

No charge for dogs.  The beach is dog friendly all year with just a central section reserved for swimmers in summer.  The cottage is very, very dog friendly with no restrictions. 

For your dog, there is a medium sized dog crate and stair gates at the top and bottom of the stairs should you use them.   The cottage together with dog bowls, throws, towels, poo bags and treats.  We allow multiple dogs to visit, numbers dependent on number of guests to ensure a comfortable stay.

Additional Notes

  • Towels and tea towels are not provided - please take your own
  • Also available are beach chairs, windbreaks, buckets spades, beach games and boogy boards - even sledges for snowy weather, umbrella and raincoats.
  • Driveway for off street parking
  • Check in after 2.30pm and check out before 10.30am

Stayed for a weekend early December, lovely touches with christmas tree, lights and decorations. Lived the advent calendar. Cosy warm cottage, perfect location with lovely walks to the beach and town. Helpful, friendly owners . Will definitely recommend and return

We had a wonderful week staying in Grosvenor Cottage for a second time with our 2 border collies. It is a perfect location, totally dog friendly, and a couple of minutes from the sea and parks. The cottage is quiet and one of the few places we have found that our noise sensitive rescue dog can relax. Hornsea is a lovely old fashioned place with good facilities and easy access to Bridlington and Beverley and many other places for walks and exploration

We chose Grosvenor Cottage as we wanted to take our one year old wire-haired fix terrier, Stanley, to the seaside and the cottage sounded perfect. We arrived to a bottle of wine, treats for Stan and everything we needed to make our stay an easy one: dog crate, bowls, towels and blankets.

The cottage is in a perfect location for the beach and the town. Dogs are welcome practically everywhere so we could eat and drink out when we wanted to.

We enjoyed many walks on the beach and the nearby park. We had lunch at the Crafty Cafe which was tasty and reasonable. We also enjoyed delicious fish and chips from the nearby 'Sullivan's'. Stanley particularly enjoyed the Stackhouse Bar as he made many new friends while we enjoyed a Saturday afternoon pint!

We had a really relaxing few days and definitely chose wisely for our first trip with Stan. Thank you Yvonne and Paul for providing such lovely accommodation for dogs and their owners.

We have just spent a week in this cottage ... all i can say is that it is absolutely superb, fabulously dog friendly and in the best location. Spotlessly clean with all the home comforts provided for ourselves and our little dog Pepsi ... she had a wonderful time on the beach which is so close I could hear the sea every morning !!!! The cottage is like home from home, so comfortable and the dog friendly garden is just wonderful and safe. We enjoyed our holiday so much we have already booked for 2019 !!! Had a great week staying in the cottage. Perfectly located on a quiet street a few minutes walk from both the beach and the park.
Spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need for your stay.
We were fortunate to have a few days of sunshine so enjoyed relaxing in the garden with our dogs after enjoying coffee and cake on the high street, which is close by.
Yvonne is a great host and is easy to contact if you have any questions about your stay. Thank you for the bottle of wine and dog biscuits waiting on our arrival.

We arrived at Grosvenor Cottage amidst snow and high winds. It was really good to go out in such cold weather with biting winds and come back to the warmth and coziness of the cottage. The cottage is amazing. All the extras have been thought of. There were welcome flowers, a bottle of wine and even dog treats. There was an abundance of useful kitchen and bathroom supplies negating the need to go and buy extras. We enjoyed having all amenities at hand and took pleasure in using local shops for our food and liked being able to walk to these. There was a Co-op and a Tesco superstore all with in walking distance but also some great local shops and many dog-friendly pubs and restaurants. Yvonne and Paul made the process of booking very easy. All in all we had a very lovely time and were sad to leave. Thank you for our much needed rest.

Another wonderful stay at Grosvenor this year, we have stayed before and we have always enjoyed our time there this year was no different. The cottage has everything we need it makes traveling as a family and dog so much easier. We had a beautiful sunny week were we explored Hornsea and the surrounding areas and in the evening enjoyed cosy nights in. As i have said before the cottage is beautifully decorated and so close to the beach and the town, and Yvonne is always a pleasure to deal with during the booking process and the bottle of wine left for us on arrival is such a lovely touch... I have just spent a week here with my mum and two dogs (23-30th July) and I can't stress how amazing this place is, it is honestly home from home!!! Absolutely superb. You do not need to bring anything other than your own towels (and food), but there is even pasta, rice tea and coffee, sauces etc in the kitchen for you. Wifi works fabulously, the garden is very secure and private.

The whole house is incredibly clean and very well set out and it really is a 2 minute walk from the beach! Sullivans fish and chips is absolutely lovely, as is the Chinese Lantern and the Marine pub.
For quick snacks/lunch I highly recommend the Cliffe Road cafe which is ran by 2 lovely ladies and also the Floral Cafe on the seafront.

I most definitely would love to come and stay again!

We stayed here for a week in August and had a good week. The cottage really is 5 mins from the beach and is in a lovely seaside town. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and is very comfortable. We took our 4 cavalier King Charles spaniels and they had a lovely time the secure garden is perfect for them. I wouldn't hesitate to return again.

Me and my partner wanted a relaxing break at a place completely dog friendly for our two pet pooches..we couldn't have chosen better. The cottage was perfect, was literally everything we had hoped for and more! Everything from pet bowls/treats, to a BBQ and beach chairs was provided. The only thing we had to take was food and towels the cottage is just as it says..home from home, in a very dog friendly village, with beautiful scenic walks in the beach and inland. Thanks Yvonne and Paul. We will be back!
